Safety Sense for Children Workshop 

AGE: ideal for boys and girls age 6 - 11 (elementary school). Contact us regarding children outside this age range. 

Parent/Guardian must accompany participant. 

 

The Revved Up Kids Safety Sense workshop for children in elementary school is designed to teach participants in a non-frightening way about who predators are and how they operate, and equip them to respond appropriately if they meet a predator. The workshop teaches participants that predators may not be strangers, teaches participants simple safety and awareness skills to reduce risk, helps participants understand the lies/lures/tricks predators use, and teaches participants how to respond to an attack and get to safety. Parent/Guardian encouraged but not required to accompany participant. 

 

The Revved Up Kids Safer Teen Girls workshop for girls in middle and high school teaches participants about their risk of sexual assault, abuse or exploitation at the hands of strangers, acquaintances and dating partners. The workshop trains participants to incorporate personal safety into all decision making, and equips participants to defend themselves against an attacker. Straightforward discussion of sexual assault/rape, relationship abuse and trafficking is included in the training; parents of pre-teens should exercise caution when enrolling their children.
