The Revved Up Kids workshop for children in elementary school is designed to teach participants in a non-frightening way about who predators are and how they operate, and equip them to defend themselves if they meet a predator. The workshop teaches participants that predators may not be strangers, teaches participants simple safety and awareness skills to reduce risk, helps participants understand the lies/lures/tricks predators use, and teaches participants how to respond to an attack and get to safety. The workshop includes full force self-defense tactics practice.
Children must be accompanied by a chaperone, preferably a parent or guardian.
